SELF PORTRAIT, by Kieran Lyons: For the performance, the artist will pose for a charcoal portrait executed by his assistant, one of the artist’s friends who has received no prior artistic instruction. The artist will monitor the process with a mirror and instruct his assistant on how to proceed, but will not engage directly with the drawing at any point. The audience will be able to observe the confusion from close by.
